It
may be surprising to many to learn that we experience
trance states often during the course of our lives. Even
passing into ordinary sleep involves a kind of trance
state. The experience of hypnosis is similar: neither
asleep nor awake and a little like daydreaming, with a
pleasant feeling of deep relaxation behind it all.
Hypnosis is a different state of consciousness, which
you can naturally enter so that, for therapeutic purposes,
beneficial corrections may be given directly to your unconscious
mind.
In this way, hypnosis is an effective way of making contact
with our inner (subconscious) self, which is both a reservoir
of unrecognised potential and knowledge as well as being
the unwitting source of many of our problems.
It is a fact that nobody can be hypnotised against his
or her will, thus therapeutic hypnosis is a state of purposeful
co-operation.
Hypnotherapy may be used to treat a variety of medical
and psychological problems and most people will readily
respond to hypnotherapy. It may even succeed where other,
more conventional methods of treatment have not produced
the desired results. It is natural and safe, with no harmful
side effects.
Suggestion therapy
This is ideally suited for treating the simpler problems
that affect us and is effective immediately, requiring
only one session. These are some of the symptoms and ailments
I have successfully treated using suggestion therapy:
smoking
weight loss
confidence boosting
nail-biting
sports psychology
relaxation
pre-exam / driving test nerves
This list is not exhaustive so if your problem is not
listed please do not hesitate to contact me.
Analytical therapy
Although the use of hypnosis is the same as in Suggestion
Therapy, the technique used is entirely different and
utilised to uncover the CAUSES of psychological problems.
The number of sessions required is difficult to predict,
as much depends on the personality and disorder of the
client. All members of the IAH are bound by a code of
practice and ethics and agree to discharge each and every
client from treatment at the earliest possible moment
consistent with that clients good care. The treatment
will usually respond to between 8 and 12 weekly sessions
of approximately 50 mins. each. This is a totally private
and individual therapy. Conditions that respond particularly
well to Analytical Therapy include:
paranoia
bed wetting
depression
skin disorders
anxiety or panic attacks
IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
phobias (e.g. Claustrophobia, fear of flying, Arachnophobia
etc.)
allergies
nervous tension
stress
migraine
fears
I have listed just a fraction of the conditions that have
responded successfully to Suggestion or Analytical Therapy...please
note that these lists are not exhaustive due to space...for
example there are over 1000 phobias!
